Reset Winsock and the TCP/IP stack
Reset several Windows network components when connectivity remains weak despite basic controls.
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

Reserve this for persistent network, Winsock catalog, or corrupted TCP/IP configuration problems.
What the script does
- flushdns clears the DNS cache.
- winsock reset rebuilds the Winsock catalog.
- int ip reset restores default TCP/IP settings.
Precautions
- A restart is required.
- Record static IP settings and any custom network configuration before running the commands.
Rollback
Restore any static IP and DNS settings manually if the computer used them.
