What does the PDF converter produce?
- Word (.docx) — editable text reconstructed from the PDF text layer, with page breaks.
- Excel (.xlsx) — one sheet per page with heuristic row and column detection.
- PowerPoint (.pptx) — one slide per page rendered as an image to preserve appearance.
- PNG / JPG — one image per page, grouped in a ZIP archive.
- TXT — page-by-page text extraction.
Scanned PDFs and OCR
This version does not yet perform OCR. A scanned PDF without a text layer can be converted to images or PowerPoint, but Word, Excel and TXT require a text layer.
Privacy
Document processing runs in your browser. JavaScript libraries are loaded to perform the conversion, but your PDF contents are not sent to BAOI or to a third-party conversion service.
PDF is a final-layout format: Word and Excel outputs are usable reconstructions, not a guarantee of pixel-perfect reproduction.
Questions about this tool
What happens to the original file during PDF conversion?
Work on a copy and keep the original until the generated PDF has been reviewed. The tool should not become your only source copy.
What should I verify after PDF conversion?
Open the result and check page count, order, orientation, dimensions, visual rendering and any links or interactive elements that matter.
Can the operation affect print quality or file size?
Yes. Resizing, compression, conversion and page composition can change dimensions, image quality or file size; compare the output with the intended use.
